#Reevent

#REEVENT, the campaign to relaunch business tourism in the Principality.

The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020 and the resulting global crisis had a severe impact on the tourism sector. The Principality was not spared, and industry professionals, united around the Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC), quickly understood that they needed to rethink their model, whilst providing the safety guarantees that everyone is entitled to expect. This change required a combination of inventiveness and innovation. It was to focus on intellectual capital, flexibility, optimisation of transportation and spaces, and full respect for the environment.

The Director of the Tourist and Convention Authority, Mr Guy Antognelli, emphasised that “in these circumstances, Monaco has all the assets it needs to lead this transformation from the front: its know-how, its reputation for excellence in staging events, and its personalised approach, not to mention its historic commitment to protecting the environment and constant quest for sustainable innovation”.
What followed was the launch of the communication campaign #REEVENT, at the inaugural virtual edition of the IBTM World trade show. “Much more than just a call to reinvent business events, #REEVENT is a rallying cry and an invitation to industry professionals to come back and hold events in the Principality”, explains Guy Antognelli.

The campaign is built around six visual hooks that promote the core values of Destination Monaco: safety, service, unity of place and action, and environmental commitment. It has been deployed since 2021 through a print and digital media plan, in particular on professional MICE media in Europe and the US.
